The meaning of blog title

Race: A set course or duration of time

Endurance: The ability to endure hardship or adversity

Why choose this as the title of my blog? I believe that this is what our life as a Christian looks like. It’s a reminder to me that I am in a race of endurance as a Christian. God has put us here on earth for only a certain amount of time. We don’t know how long we will be here on earth. So each day is precious. We should live each day like it is our last. Time is precious. God put us here on earth to glorify His Nam and to make disciples. To show Christ in whatever we do. We are just pilgrims passing through.

As Christians we are to be set apart. Holy. Looking different to the world. Light in the midst of darkness. God promises that our life would not be easy. For we would be going,”against” the flow.

“Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it.” 1 Corinthians 9:24

“Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:1

But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.”  Acts 20:24

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”                                                                                              2 Timothy 4:7
